Customer reviews reflect the restaurant's commitment to excellence. Melissa “Ellie” Mascaro raved about the Omakase experience led by Chef Miguel, who not only tantalizingly paired each ingredient but also enriched diners’ knowledge of the cuisine—a true hallmark of refined dining. Similarly, Daniel Sean applauded the attention to detail in both service and atmosphere, declaring that Azumi is an "absolute perfect place" for sushi lovers, especially those seeking stunning harbor views.

However, some patrons like Monem Salam voiced concerns regarding service efficiency, indicating that the waitstaff could improve on communication, especially given the premium nature of the offerings. Yet, it’s important to note that many have left Azumi feeling celebrated and cherished, as evidenced by sweet gestures on special occasions, such as complimentary desserts and thoughtful cards from the staff, as shared by Renee Brown on her anniversary visit.

In conclusion, Azumi stands as a testament to the beauty and intricacy of Japanese cuisine, wrapped in a sophisticated dining experience. Whether you’re enjoying a special night out or a casual meal with friends, Azumi promises a culinary adventure that will linger in your memory long after the last bite. Not pictured, we first had the pleasure of an Omakase — and it was totally worth it! Each dish was incredible, and Chef Miguel not only made everything taste amazing but also educated us on the ingredients and why he paired certain things together. Truly an unmatched experience. A few weeks later, we came back for a Tuna Carving event, which was equally awesome. The tuna was unbelievably fresh and delicious, and it was fascinating to learn so much about a fish we eat so often. While waiting, we enjoyed some appetizers from the hibachi grill — and Chef Ryan ended the evening on a high note with his incredible Asian-style banana foster! I can’t wait to go back for a full hibachi experience with him — if you get the chance, I’d highly recommend requesting him! On top of the amazing food, Mario and the entire staff were so warm and accommodating, especially with our 1-year-old son, which made the whole evening even more special. 10/10 recommend this place — whether you’re there for hibachi, a special event, or an Omakase, you’re in for a treat!

The food here was really good; Australian wagyu beef (halal) comes flaming Sashimi was fresh and tasted great The rolls were so good our crew ordered 2 more times The service was pretty bad, honestly; everything we asked for, we had to ask a few times; we asked for raw sugar and waiter said “if we have any” even though it was in the sugar tray the first time; I expect better for the price we paid To my taste, music was too loud but others might like it

We went to Azumi’s on a double date night, and overall, it was a great evening. However, the entrance area was quite chaotic, there seemed to be some kind of altercation going on, which took away from the upscale vibe the restaurant is known for. I’m not sure if there’s a lounge or club attached, but it would be great if that atmosphere could be better separated from the dining experience. Despite that, the food was delicious! We were surprised to find out the kitchen closes earlier than the restaurant itself (around 10:30–11 PM even though they close at 12:30 AM), so we had to order quickly. The non-alcoholic drinks were underwhelming, but the sushi was excellent, and the crab and shrimp fried rice was flavorful and satisfying—just wish the portions were a bit bigger for the price. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but what we had was good, and we’ll definitely be returning!

Azumi is a perfect place to grab sushi right off the harbor in Baltimore! Our server Eric was extremely assertive, and super friendly. The edamame as a starter was fresh and not overly salted. I definitely recommend the dynamite roll if you’re looking for a light, yet flavorful sushi roll. Great dining atmosphere and beautiful views of the Charm City.

It still feels surreal to say that—ten million views. I’m so incredibly grateful for the continued love, support, and encouragement from each of you. What started as a small hobby has turned into something I genuinely cherish. Thank you for coming on this journey with me. Now let’s talk about Azumi—an absolutely phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Baltimore’s prestigious financial district, with sweeping views of the water that will take your breath away. This past Wednesday, I was invited to lunch, expecting a casual bite—but what I experienced was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I was picked up in a stunning white Corvette (yes, that kind of afternoon!), I knew this wouldn’t be an ordinary day. We parked conveniently in the attached garage, and from there, I was completely swept away. Azumi is the definition of modern elegance. Sleek interior, calming atmosphere, and panoramic waterfront views that create the perfect setting for any occasion. Although we were originally seated at a lovely table, my companion requested we move to the sushi bar so we could watch the chefs in action—and I’m so glad he did. It added a beautiful, personal touch to the experience. Our server, Carl, deserves special recognition. His attentiveness, professionalism, and warmth elevated the entire meal. Outstanding customer service makes all the difference, and Carl exceeded expectations in every way. Now, for my signature drink—sparkling water with a generous serving of lime and 5 to 10 cherries (don’t judge—I love my cherries!). It was crisp, refreshing, and a perfect prelude to an incredible meal. Every bite of sushi was fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented. While I typically take dozens of photos and videos during my visits, this time I found myself simply soaking it all in. The view, the ambiance, the food, and the company were too good not to be present for. Azumi is a standout. Whether you’re entertaining clients, planning a romantic date, or simply treating yourself—you’ll be impressed from start to finish. I highly recommend requesting Carl if he’s available. I’ll definitely be returning. Until next time, with gratitude

My husband and I came in last night for our wedding anniversary. The waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, I explained why we were dining out. Not only is it rare that wait staff asks these types of questions, she brought back an anniversary card for us! I thought this was so sweet and cute. The vanilla ice cream was a complimentary treat for the end of our meal. The food was outstanding and included some of the freshest fish selections I’ve had in a Baltimore restaurant serving seafood. The waitress was also knowledgeable about items on the menu and asked us our opinions about how things tasted. She also gave us some historical insight into Japanese cuisine which I loved!
